Kaltim Baru Project Abstract
KALTIM BARU PLTG (Gas Turbine Power Plant) Kaltim, Peaking East Kalimantan 2 x 50 Jakarta - General Electric (GE) will supply two gas turbines of F-class to a steam gas power plant (PLTG) in Kaltim Baru, Tanjung Batu, Kutai Kartanegara Regency of East Kalimantan. The power plant construction is applying F-class GE gas turbine technology to support the PLN’s efforts to supply bigger electricity supply in East Kalimantan. The two units of GE turbines will be applied to a high-speed engine with the use of diesel fuel. However, PLN will shift to the use of gas later if the company has got gas supply, he said.
